In this tutorial, we are going to explain how to construct joints. Which are necessary to animate character objects.
Firstly, you should setup the skeleton and skin it.
And these are the few basic things that you should keep in mind before rigging It:
- Never keep triangles in a character.
- Flow of the edges should be proper. Otherwise you will face problem at the time to skinning.
- Character should be unwrapped properly.
- Character should be on the grid as it’ll helpful to animator afterwards.
- Delete the history time to time before you start up with rigging.
Rigging
First we start up with setting a leg.
Select the joint tool and insert joints like shown in the image below:
